I didn't have time to read thru all the posts, then vote too, so here is my suggestion.
For me, and maybe others, it would make voting easier if there was a "skip" choice, which would allow you to skip a pic while voting. The "skip" would move it to the end of the stack, where you could keep on voting without having to go back to the thumbnail page if you wanted to have a closer look at the photo later in your voting. There are also some photos which I do not really want to rate, due to personal bias or other reasons, and it breaks up the process for me to have to navigate the site back and forth. This isn't a gripe, so please don't all go off on me about it. It may be technically difficult to set it up, or just not needed for many of us, but I'm so scatter-brained that it would help me a lot to have the feature. Thanks,
Clickahaulic/ Musketeer

Its there. Click the little arrows to the right and left of the 1-10 scale. With them, you can leave a comment, then skip to the next photo and not vote, if you wish, or just skip.

Thank you idnic. I'm still learning about navigating this site. That will take care of the problem for me. |

No problem. Hey Where is your corner of Florida? There are quite a few of us Floridian DPCers - perhaps you could join us in a Get-Together someime. :)

It will *sort of* take care of the problem. You may find that the image(s) pop back up before the end of the queue, and you have to skip them again. Still, it is a workable solution. |

I'm in LaBelle, about 25 miles inland from Ft Myers, on the west coast south. I think my email is in my profile. |

Kirbic, One of my best pals bought a 5D a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to clean the sensor, so did it the way he did the 20D, which ruined the 5D sensor, which does not have the glass over it like the smaller sensors. Tough way to learn. Maybe this will save someone's Canon sensor if they happen to read it. I'm sure that they must be talking about that situation on the Canon forum.
Thanks for your input on the skip thing. |

The 5D does have a filter over the sensor, and it should not be more prone to damage by careful cleaning than other models. I've cleaned by 5D sensor several times using the Copperhill method (same as I used for my 10D) with no problms whatsoever. |

I read that some 5D's have extra grease in the camera. It is very easily transfered to the sensor if you clean it with a brush. This happened to my 5D, but it was easily cleaned with a wet cleaning. I used the visible dust products with success for this problem. (It was quite scary when it happened...made quite a mess) Try visibledust.com |

Thanks Clouds, I will let him know. He's sent it to the factory repair station in NJ already, but maybe that will alleviate some of the stress or at least give some hope of a not so pricey repair. I will post the whole event on the Canon forum when I find out the results. |

That'd be interesting. "Press this button and Skip will popup!"

Right! We are off topic now, so let's pull the plug on this one. I've been helped with my request, and a friend has been helped. It's been productive. Thanks to all and see you on another link. |
