Sherpet, thanks for your kind words of encouragement! I cannot thank you and everyone that responded with such kind words towards my photo. It refreshed my soul. :)
My score is now at... Avg Vote: 6.4485
I've waited so long to reach the 6.000 mark. It's refreshing and I am chuckling because my diagonal image is struggling at a pathetic 4.8000!!!

Does this mean all is OK, or is there still some decision pending? Just want to make sure, as this is the first time I have been requested to submit the original to a challenge on DPC ...

If it has been "validated", as you said, then it is now all ok.

It's slowly creeping up.....just to be in the top 25 would be an honor for me. The fact 2 people chose this as one of their favorites means more. This is how I feel when I sell a painting. As an artist I want someone to feel good when they see one of my paintings. It's the same in photography.
You know, I took the advice of the person on another thread started by the extra nice Sherpet, he more or less said......
'Study photography on the net, read books, look at National Geographic for heavens sake'. I did exactly that.

| The nice voters are out ... I'm by no means close to a ribbon or top 20 but I'm happy with my score. My Plan A went up in flames (literally) and I didn't have a Plan B, but quickly came up with one, so I'm happy it's doing above a 4 LOL |

Funny how that is. For lousy scores (like mine) it's the opposite. At the beginning they come out but end up fully entrenched in the woodwork never to be seen again. :P |

Because of the Regression to the Mean effect the chances are your score would go down anyway, so don't blame it on the post if it happens. ;)
Had made it up to 6.44 last night, but seem to be back at the bottom of this knot of people in the 6.4 range at 6.41
