Yup same here, must be a Yahoo integration issue. I tried DL'g straight from Microsoft but my computer already knows to pull in the Yahoo junk when I re-installed. I've had AT&T / Yahoo techs saying to use the straight from Microsoft IE not theirs, buggy

Not the same. You don't buy Firefox so nothing is lost if they try it and decide it's not for them. It would be more like somebody *giving* you a Nikon (still bad I know, but at least you could use it as a doorstop or something).

I'll have you know my Nikon Coolpix 8700 is a great camera... it's a NICE heavy paper weight.

You don't buy IE7 either.

I haven't downloaded it yet, but I'm wondering if it's more of a system resource hog than IE6 was? If you're using a PC with less memory and a shallow hard drive IE7 could be bogging your system down.

Just a thought.

That seems unlikely because my computer's been running very slowly with everything I do lately (due to precisely these problems, which I'm working at solving) but IE7 is working well for me.

I DL's Firefox and it runs with no problems, fast and no crashes like I was having with IE7. My guess is windows/IE7 is corrupt amd a simple re-install of IE7 didn't help.

I'll add my name to the "having no problems" list. I downloaded direct from MS using MS Update and it worked flawlessly from the start. Like it much better than IE6.

My machine is 2Ghz AMD Chip, 2 GB RAM so that may help. Are you maybe short on RAM? You should have at least 1 GB even though they say 512 is ok.
