neither of my children is special needs, but i do have (or did until June 2006) a NC teaching certificate in "Cross Categorical Special Education." I was simply certified to teach anything from students with mild LD to the children with teh most severe and profound handicaps. Currently, I teach at the Community College and anytime we get a student with learning "differences" they get sent to my class.
This semester I had a student with "affective schizophrenia," one with autism and OCD, and one with severe social phobias finish with high school diplomas. They were challenging, but in the end rewarding.
Just rambling.
as far as wpl4, i would love to keep the team and move into the next one. :) heck, if nothing else, it has been fun. |

wow, every day I am more and more amazed by the talents of this team I'm blessed to be a part of. I truly believe that things happen for a reason. I'd never even noticed "WPL" anything on DPC till Hanae's initial thread about a team....and now I have 6 wonderful friends :-) thanks ladies...your the best!!!
update on diagonal shot: I have NEVER had a shot bounce around score wise this much, EVER...overall I think I'll end dead flat on a 4.9999 when first vote was an 8 thought it might be decent...shrugs...I'm gonna cover up 'update' button.
I gotta step it up, but I swear "Bond" fails me...I've SEVERAL ideas for "life" soooooo and now the idea for "death" (me dpc scores!) laughs.

| i've got a james bond idea. it's not really exciting, but maybe i can garner a point or two on technique. :) i tried to get my husband to model for me in the "classic" pose of bond with the gun up beside his face. But, he gently pointed out that he is blond while bond is dark headed. Not that my husband looks like Pierce Brosnan or any of the others . .. |

Only open challenges and members challenges count for WPL so 2 every week.

thank goodness FS doesn't count... I liked the shot I submitted...has one very positive comment and score is? 5.02 LOL..gawd I give.

well i thot ym light on white would do well but it is lower than the diagonal i submitted at the last minute...my fs is doing ok but that was just for me.

i may not be around much teh next day or so. our monitor is on the blink 9nards just told me there was a thread about it somewhere on here. im on his laptop right now, 9hence all the mistakes cause i keep missing the shift key0
anyway, don't know if i will get anything in for bond or not. and if it does get fixedd, maybe not life/death. i'll tyr though, even if i hav to go to a public library or sumtin.
going now, tyring to fix the typos is driving me insane.

OK - my Bond is posted - and I still managed to avoid seeing a single 007 movie! Yay! I have no idea how it will score but I actually had fun shooting it - not bad for a challenge I found completely uninspiring! I hope you ladies are having fun too - good luck my friends. So sorry to hear about the technical difficulties Karmat.

Challenges this week are just nasty :o( I dont like any of them and have zero ideas :( Am going to try and think of something tomorrow for one of the open challenges.

Of course I am actually referring to the next challenges - if we win with the Bond, & Life/Death we stand a great chance of heading to the play-offs. I guess I've pretty much given up on the current week...although you just never know!

good lord!!! i swear living in tim buck two is not condusive to bond...no glam car, no tux, no casino, no world, no diamonds, no gun...sigh...so i drive to mall...no bond gadgets of any sort, no collector car, no gun (cept water guns) nodda....hobby lobby closed, toys r us...ziltch....and don't EVEN think my 13 year old son gonna model in any form fashion or way...not even his arm in tux (need a tux for that and willing arm) sighhhhhhhhhhhh...now (gawd hate to EVEN suggest this...) if it were a "redneck Christmas" challenge...just kidding...don't even have THAT here...
i see scalvert as having serious odds of winning something bond..wonder where he'll stick the kids for this one..LOL
