| Flip a coin - My guess would be HD-DVD because BlueRay is probably the better technology :-/ All I know is I ain't supporting this crap, so once one dies I will think about it :-) |

Gotta bet on Blu-Ray because of the Sony and PS3 influence....

| I think some sort of a la carte DVR mutation device might beat them both if they get tangled in a cold war that lasts too long. |

when dvd writers came out there was a big + or - question and now most burners do both i expect that eventually the same will happen here. i will eventually get a PS3 so i am hoping for that to do well but sony already lost two format wars (beta and mini-disc) both of which were better IMO so who knows if they can win this one but the PS3 will defiantly help.

the PS3 is a blu-ray dvd player so all the people that buy one will have a blu-ray player already without having to buy another player. |

And right now Blu-ray players are around $1000...PS3's are $600 (if you can find one).
