I was shooting dress rehearsal tonight of my daughter's ballet and had a really tough time with lighting. There was enough light but using Matrix metering I got blown out highlights like crazy. The background was dark, I tried doing up to -1 EV but no matter what I did my exposure was all over the place. Finally I had to switch to manual and shoot everything at a single consistent speed. I never had this problem with my D70 though. Does the D200 have less Dynamic range?
