Is it just me or is the distribution for the LS's just crap in Europe?

--- Europe (via UK Distributor):

Only available over BBJImports ( //www.bbjimports.com/europe_zone_a_store.html ):

- LS £49
- SH £11
Total = £60 or $117

--- Europe (via Offical US Gary Site, all other US sites aren't allowed to send this product international):

- LS $49
- SH $70.44 (lets say $70)
Total = $119

I couldn't be bothered to search sites in Europe for more than 30 minutes (don't feel a consumer should have too), but at the end, the only shop left was BBJ, which leads me to believe that company has exclusive distribution over Europe (i.e. sucks!).

Apologies for the rambling, I would definitely get it if I was in the States (prob like $60), but paying twice that amount is somewhat insane :/

rant end :)

Hey, I know what you mean. I've been wanting a LS for quite a while, but have no desire to pay double what it would cost in the states. If you find a distributor, or better yet, someone who's selling a used one, let me know.

If anyone in Europe wants one just find out how much it would cost for me to ship it to you and I will buy it here and ship it. Just paypal me the money. I want no profit. Or is it about the same either way?

Rex, really kind of you thanks :) I'm kind of in a rush for one so I found a US reseller that doesn't seem to care :)

I bought a ton of other stuff and the shipping is still HALF of Gary's, except... *drumroll*... FASTER. Christmas will make for beautiful pictures this year :)

B&H is a big thing here at DPC. Surprised you didn't know about them. They send me this SUPER BIG catalog about 3 times a year. The wife tries to hide them.

Wonder why?

Ha, didn't know. The larger the company, the less likely they'll have checks & controls in place to make sure they are not violating exclusive distribution zones. priceless :)

Yes, thanks for the offer Rex! I'll look into the cost as soon as I figure out how much it weighs. Will research that later (unless you know?)...

I get the BH catalog too, but I thought the shipping sounded like a lot. Maybe it's not though. Thanks both of you.

I would say 1 pound maybe 2 if you wanted to be generous

I had them on the phone, regular shipping (2 weeks) is like $10-$15 to europe. I paid $35 but that's for 3-4 business days (need it kind of urgently). I however diluted the cost by adding a bunch of other crap.
