One thing I will say is that I am starting to feel like I am ready to slide off my chair on some of these. I feel like I am watching out takes from an episode of Batman (the original series).

Wow...I was expecting like 25 consecutive 1's for that comment but no Bad Karma votes so far. I was slightly kidding btw.

=)

My theory is that the first scores were done by llorts, and then the real trolls started...

20 votes into the challenge and I have absorbed my lesson for the week - "hit the voter over the head". I've had quite a few 10's and 9's and an equal amount of 2's and 3's - I can only assume that two lots of diagonal lines is not enough unless you have a tilted horizon

This is going to be painful. Without saying much more I'd bet there are going to be a lot of angry entrants/voters in this one, within the next few hours.

I can only assume that the question is pointed at your voting average of 3.8

I just saw about 40+ entries without even going through a 1/3 of the bunch that scant met the Challenge. They all qualified in some way (yes, they DO meet the Challenge) but the essence of the Diagonal IMO was lost (or missed). Just an opinion.

My guess is that when the votes start to roll in, a lot of people aren't going to be happy. Just a guess.

I hope you're off on this Steve, I'm sitting at a hot-n-heavy 5.1 - I don't know how much more disappointment I can take.

There are some great entries IMO but many that seem more or less gratuitous, in a sense. When/if those images get slammed...look out when those entrants start to vote. I could be wrong.

Pawdrix now ducks and hides...

PS Don't Vote Angry!

Steve, a few things that I wish you'd discuss: firstly...what is "IMO" - excuse the ignorance of this question. Secondly what do you mean by "gratuitous"? I am finding that some pics that are just ordinary pics that have been swivelled to make the horizon meet corner to corner...are somewhat gratuitous..but then they meet the challenge don't they?

I'm sitting on a 5.2, so it's neither her nor there for me. I want to vote on what I see as being really good diagonal axes in shots. Maybe I'm missing the point entirely though?
