I recently asked everyone for a suggestion for a new lens and the Tamron 28-75mm was a common recommendation. With that info I did some research and it would seem that the 28-75mm is a great lens. I was getting ready to purchase one when I looked at the Tamron web site and noticed a new lens, the "SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]".
- Anyone have any experience with this lens?
- Is it as good as the 28-75mm?

I don't know about the 17-50mm f/2.8 but I love my 28-75mm. For some extra info on the 17-50mm, check out this site.
