I see a lot of gold painted ladies..
Will be a fun challenge to comment on since I recently re-watched the movies.. though my favourite James Bond memory has nothing to do with the movies.. Described him a slut at the age of seven in front of my parents... Freaked them both out for different reasons.. |

People also seem to be really concentrating on the movies. I admit I am a Bond fan, but I always thought the books were better than the movies- but I do own virtually every movie (except the Timothy Daltons- hated those and a few of the Roger Moores are missing as well).

| The bond genre is cool, though the actors in the films typically suck. A bond challenge, however, is pretty lame. |

Yeah, I was serious about the challenge, i thought it would be great fun, still do. I also agree that Timothy Dalton sucked as Bond. My fav so far is still Sean Connery, followed closely by Pierce. I've heard good things about the new guy but will reserve judgement till I see the movie.

Been doing a bit of research and IMO this challenge is WAY outside the means of a LOT of the photogs on this site.
Not many have access to the sets, models, props, lighting to produce a Bond-esque shot.

I am so excited about this challenge!!!
My last name used to be Bond before I got married :-) Tried to talk my husband into taking my last name, as it was slightly cooler...but couldn't quite pull it off.
Can't wait to rack the brain and remember all the classic Bond films I've seen to come up with an idea. |

Huh? I've got 3 ideas sketched out so far, none involve sets, models or expensive props (2 do require some lighting). The third I think may be a little too abstract for the DPC voters, but I might do that one just to see the response.

You know, that's so true!! I never even got the chance to date a James....didn't really ever know that many. It's ok though, I still get to make all the jokes I want about being a Bond Girl :-) |

| Well, I don't see what all the whining is about. There are four challenges going on right now, and all of them are due to expire in a week or less. So, if you're not interested in James Bond, do the other three and see what replaces them next week. Maybe you all have more time than me, but there's no way I could do all the challenges on this site. (Of course, that may be because my limited creativity makes it tough for me to think of subjects to shoot.) I think this one could be a lot of fun; but I also think it will be tough. |

One thing that suprised me about James Bond, and I wonder if this will be used someway in the entries...but Bond would have been a great role model for safe sex...and yet....he never practised it...lol!!

I was curious and searched for Octopussy, oh dear..
aaanyway I'm a huge Bond fan and I think it's a good theme. You don't need to mimic a Bond flick exactly. It's more about the glamour and fantasy. High powered spy world, lots of gadgets, nice clothes, martinis and cars.
..although my current idea is coming at the subject rather diagonally. |
