What's wrong with really cheap strobes like this? or this?

I want to set up a mini studio in my home office for both products and portraits and want to stay as low-cost as possible. I just don't want to go TOO cheap and regret it.

Previous thread discussing cheap eBay strobes -- not these specifically, but it should give you a basic feel for the product.
