*sounding like a silly IT tech* Did you try rebooting your machine?

Every other site works fine! Weird! And I'm even using a mac!

Tried Firefox and Safari too.

I'll restart and try again.

Yea - You broke the internet by connecting a mac to it.

If google is the only site that isn't opening for you. I am not sure a reboot will do the trick. You might wan't to clean out your temporary internet files. You could have a currupt cookie.

Ok, this is annoying. I rebooted and it still doesn't connect. Then I tried it on my wife's laptop (PC), and it worked fine! WTF?!?

See? I told you....honestly though, I wish I could help you. Least I could do is keep this up top. Maybe youll get some more ideas.

are you using a firewall? that is the only other thing I can think of right now that could cause a problem like this.

Is it the google website you can't get to or are you using the google toolbar? If the latter, try re-installing the toolbar.

I'm using a Mac and Google works fine.

I had a problem like this recently with mpix... once I reset my router it worked fine..
11/26/2006 05:10:18 PM · #19
Update: It is working now. I didn't do anything... google just decided it wanted to work again.

Thanks everyone for their help.

-Chad

PS: Earlier today I rebooted my router and modem and it didn't work.

my internet explorer had me update it a few minutes ago to version 7. Maybe that'll help if you can get back online.

BTW, after my first attempt, my wife's laptop (WindowsXP) wouldn't load google either. So no mac jokes!!!! (Although I love that mac video :-)

My only guess is that they had a regional outage.
