Does anyone have any recommendations for filter systems that I can use with my 20D? Would be good if they also work with the 400D too.

Basically at the moment I have only some screw-in filters, but I am interested in things like the ND grad filter, that I understand is more suited to the drop in filter system that uses a mount.

Is there a system that would cope with both the small 60mm macro and the expanse of glass that is the 10-22 ?

If you have deep deep pockets you can look at the Lee filter system

I used the Cokin P system for a number of years, but found that when stacked together the ND grads have a colour cast. I have slowly changed over to Lee Filters.

Look at the Cokin Z-Pro and not the Cokin P. The Cokin P is too small for your widest lens. As Falc said the Cokin ND filters have a color cast so if you want ND filters then you'll be looking at Lee, Tiffen, or Hitech (made by Formatt) filters for use with the Cokin Z-Pro holder.

i was looking into this and the P series says that it goes above 77mm which is what the 10-22mm lens has. is this not correct?

I don't have the lens so I can only say that I've read various posts on DPReview and Photo.net indicated vignetting with the 10-22 on the wider end even with the wide angle adapter on the P system.

I just got a good deal on a P filter system off of fred miranda. The seller said it will vignette at the widest angles. He has a 12-24 mm range and vignetted at 12 and in one spot at 13 mm. Here is what I got!

Cokin P Holder Set
P Holder and sun shade
Adapter rins 77, 72, 67, 62, 58, 55,
Filter Sunset 2
Filter Gradul M2
Filter Gradul G2
Filter Gradul G1
Filter Blue Gold Polarizer
Filter Orange 002
Filter Red 003
I think the coolest thing in here though will be the Blue/Gold polarizer. Here is link to what it does, it should creat some interesting effects for landscapes. Has anyone used on before. It was just sent this morning so once it gets here, I'll post some examples of where the vignetting comes into play.

I have the Cokin P system for the Grad ND's. I use it on the Canon 10-22 as well. In landscape orientation it vignettes up to about 13mm, but in portrait orientation there's no vignette (if you keep the mount in a vertical position).

I had no trouble using the cokin p system on my Nikkor 12-24. I just dremmeled off all but one slot on one of my holders.

Just don't get the awful cokin filters, go with Lee, Hi-Tech or the best Sing-Ray for the filters.

My cokin filter set came today and it will be a blast! I only see vignetting when I use this blue/yellow polarizer(it is a circle piece of glass and not a sheet of plastic like the rest of them and the set came with two holders one dremmelled like hyperfocal has and I have no problems except with this polarizer.
Here is a simple shot showing what this polarizer can do, its pretty impressive. These shots are straight from the camera jpegs.
