I've built a new website called ForeverFall.com....well, I'm actually in the process of building it.

Its going to be a site that consists of 5-6 photographers and artists that want to experiment and expand on their techniques. I envision the art as highly stylized/modern works. The website will be a tool for everyone to feed off of each other and to get feedback from the other artists. It will also be a marketing tool with the promise of a lot of exposure (I know how to advertise...let me tell you....).

Here's a few of the things I'm planning on doing with the site:

- 5-6 photographers and artists willing to develop their skills and techniques

- Each member will have their own foreverfall.com email address

- Each member will have a showcase on the site featuring 5-10 works

- There will be a forum for the members to discuss anything and everything

- There will be a downloads section for wallpapers/screensavers that we create

I have many other ideas for the site tat I need to find ways to implement. I'm also looking at a book deal once the site gets up and running and all the artists have works to show off. I also want to make a section where visitors can buy prints...

Basically the site is just going to be a learning tool for a select few artists/photographers as well as an advetising tool. I predict the site will recieve 2-3k hits a month or so to start out with...depending. The artists will be able to experiment and basically go crazy with their works....just have fun and showcase the abilities of the artist.

There's a certain feel that I want the site to have....so if you apply and I turn you down don't feel bad.

If you are interested in being part of ForeverFall feel free to send me a pm. Remember that there will opnly be six spots and two of them are already filled. Also...remember that it doesn't just have to be photography....any art is allowed.

Thanks for looking!

Caleb

Did you get my PM?
11/24/2006 03:12:51 PM · #5
Thanks you guys....I did recieve your pm's.

I'm going to give this a couple of days and see how many applicants I get and then choose the members. Everyone will have a fair chance though and I might have the other current member help me choose.

If I get too many awesome applicants I may up the member count to ten or so....

Also, I've been thinking a little more about the site and what I want to do with it.

I think that all of the artwork will have to be exclusive to FF....so that it was taken specifically to be showcased on the site and to help expand our techniques. Also...even if your a photographer you can still try your hand at other artforms. I will be a doing a lot of graphic design stuff as well as photography.

Like I said before....eventually, after we get the members and enough art on the site I want to get a book published. I'll more than likely end up donating most of the proceeds to a charity or fund....as we won't be in this for the money, more for the experience.

Also...if you are thinking about joining. Membership won't be an extensive experience....but I will expect everyone to keep tabs on the site and at least check in every once in awhile.

I'm going to try and have everything running by next week or so....depending on how long the domain name transfer takes. It should be a fun little community of like-minded artists....and a good learning experience...

Thanks for all the pm's so far....it's only been an hour and I've already recieved eight.

I think I'm going to take four more photographers and then recruit either a digital artist or a painter as well bringing the grand total up to seven members, although I may expand in the followoing weeks depending on what happens. The other current member, Andrey, is a graphic designer/painter.... I think that no matter what the media, we can all learn from each other.

I've gotten about a dozen pm's so far....not to mention a few other emails from people on other sites.

So....unfortunately I will have to turn some people down. But please don't take offense to it, I would love to make everyone a part of this but I don't have the money and time to do that right now.

Anyways....I'll let everyone know in a day or two who I'm going to pick, so if you don't hear from me by the end of the weekend then consider it a "Friendly" decline.

Thanks everyone.

Oh, I should have the site done by tomorrow. I'm just waiting for the domain to change over is all...

Alright....the site is done. I'm going to bump this a couple of more times today to see if I can get any more applicants.

Right now I'm still looking for one more digital artist/painter.... I'll be choosing four people off of dpc and probably one from DA. Myself and Andrey will make up the rest of the group...

I've set up a forum for us to use as well as a printshop when the time comes. All I really need now is the artists and their creations.

I'll let you guys know by the end of tonight who I choose. Then we will get this ball a rollin'

I just filled three of the five remaining spots with DPC'ers.... I'm having a haaarrrddd time choosing artists, you are all so amazing in your own way. I was tempted to flip a quarter to pick the last two people.

Alas....I am going to dwell on it for awhile. I'll probably pull one more off of here and try and fine someone off of DA. If I can't find anyone by the end of the night then I will choose one more DPC'er.

Thanks for all the interest by the way....

Cool idea, can you give us examples of highly stylized / modern works? i.e. the type of artists you're looking for? Cheers

Be nice if we could have a confirmation.
