Hey, any preference on the Pantone Huey (about $89) or the Colorvision Spyder Express (about $70)?

Just curious as to people's experiences and preferences.

I NEED to get my monitor back to the right colors...

I use Huey and like it. I have it set to adjust my monitor to changes in ambient light. Those changes can be a bit abrupt if the light in the room changes quickly just as it is adjusting for ambient (cloud passes in front of the sun, for example). Haven't used the spyder.

Can I bump this old thread?
I'm coming to visit New York, and plan on some photography shopping. Which do you recommend, for calibrating my laptop monitors........pantone huey, or spyder 2?
I dont really need to factor on ambient light adjustment, nor printing calibration.

That's almost like asking ... Canon or Nikon. Of course we all know the answer to that question is Canon ;)

I use the Spider, it works but so does the other. I believe the Pantone is less expensive. All in all, I think price really matters on this one.

I have the Huey Pantone for my PC and laptop and really like it. One thing that Huey does that the Spyder can't do is calibrate the monitor for the changing ambient light.
