My BACKYARD.....Take a photo literally of ones own backyard..... Yes, the one right near you, in your own yard. An allover view, or of something in your backyard.
(Proberly more than half of my image in my portfolio, have been taken in my backyard, and it is very small backyard, compared to other backyards.....)re sherpet
It would be really nice if we stayed within the rules for this one, and not go next door, or down the road, or to the beach, but literally stay in ones own backyard, only a foot step, to take the shot.

lots of macro bugs...
I like it but probably needs to be an open challenge so that people without backyards can have a chance in the weeks other challenge.

No fair having a scenic back yard! Mine has a stick and a hole the dog dug to put the stick in. (It's a rather large stick, so she's been digging for some time now.) |

I would trade the pond, deer, fields, and apple orchard for a dog-dug hole. Ponds aren't all they're cracked up to be :)
Either way - fab idea for a challenge :) |

See, you have my pond beat right here! You would only see leaches flying this way and that if she were to try that.
I will not detail how, or in what manner, I ascertained the leachosity of my pond. |

Had I not fired my slacker pool boy a few months back, there most certainly would be some dangerously high levels of leachosity. LOL!

I don't have a backyard. It's just the carpark for the residents.
However, in the frontyard, there's a small patch of grass which is taken care of by the renting company. Not many homes in Japan have lawns (if I would dare to callit a lawn ;-)) |

It's okay Eric My dog King digs holes to find a cool spot to lay in.

Goodman Acres doesn't look too bad there, Les. Besides, you have instant access to a hottie to kick the score up a point or two, I have instant access to a fat polack to dredge the troll vote out. |

I don't have a backyard at the moment...but I will next week! I close on my new house either Monday or Tuesday. Who wants to see a naked fat lady in a hot tub in her own backyard? |

This is my backyard. Well, a bit of it at least; the grass clipping pile by the broken piece of fence. Yup, we have a classy place here! :) |

I took this in my backyard, would it get too many DNMC votes? my guess is absolutely :).

Yup, just like if the challenge were, for example, "Christmas" and you entered that shot because you took it on Christmas day :) |

If the SC need someone to visit the homes of all the entrants to verify the location of the shot then I'm happy to take the required time off work. You'll only need to pay for my airfare. I'm sure the entrants will house me for an evening if they want their entry validated ;)

I think at least a dozen of my images were shot in my backyard.
