Hi. Is there a big advantage for shooting in TIFF over JPEG? For those who have done large prints with the F707, do you shoot in TIFF or does it matter?

i think you could get away with a 16x20 print using JPEG.

I had a few 16x20's made from my old casio camera that were done in the 1.3 MP file size JPEG fine and they look great (to me anyway).

I have some very awesome 8x10's from my 707 that were done in the 1280x960 fine JPEG setting

i was curious about that, so i took some pictures in TIF to see.. when you take a TIF, it also saves a jpg version of it.. when comparing them, i could not visually detect any differences. At the fine settings, the jpg compression is very minimal and should be great for prints.

I have not seen too much of it mattering in which you shoot in. I have been shooting in FINE jpg after shooting RAW, etc., and have had no problems. I have a 24x36" that I shot with my old 3 MP camera that came out great...and that was jpg. I usually convert the image to PSD ot TIFF right out of the camera anyway. just able to shoot more with 4:1 compression.
