Whomever said wishes didn't come true must not have believed hard enough or didn't have the patience to wait. Last year, I had two wishes posted on DPC and this week, my second wish finally came true (see Your Christmas Wish List, and I owe it all to DPC and Mavrik and Konador for creating the posts to make my wishes possible.
I had wished to be reconnected with a long lost friend, Sola. She and I met on my first day on campus in August 1989. We were immediately BFF and inseperable. We'd lost contact around 1996 due to several relocations on both our parts.
Anyway, I received an email earlier this week from my friend Sola. She had come across some photos of mine online (I am a member here on DPC and I had my photo-a-day site, on blogspot--it was a post I believe originated by Konador last year) and decided to take a chance and email me to see if it really IS me. Anyway, she currently lives half a world away in England and we're back in contact.
I'M SOOOOO HAPPY & THANKFUL!!! I hope everyone's wishes came true as well and Happy Turkey Day everyone!!!
Anyway, maybe we should restart the Christmas Wish List for 2006??? |
