Hi all,

Challenge #13 is now accepting submissions through November 25th:

Thanks sfalice for this very nice shot! Note that challenge #12 is still accepting participants and submissions, also on the
compete page.

Congrats to idnic on her winning edit in Challenge #10!

Be sure to peruse the other entries, as there was some great black and white work in here.

Is anybody else suspicious that Cindi won the challenge wherein she submitted the shot? =)

At 12 entries, 228 total votes, and 550 views, this challenge has been our biggest thus far. However, the site is growing daily as more DPC users find PPC. So invite your friends to play along!

Cheers,
-Jeff

All DPChallenge users are welcome to play along and/or vote! Please during voting, read the challenge rules in the descriptions, and vote accordingly given the rules and desired effects.

She's a winner. Uh huh. Yep.

Perhaps it's time for JP to dust off the PP skills and take on The Mistress of the Photoshop

Actually, Cindi, you didn't put any post processing steps in the description. =P

I want to know, as I'm sure others do, how you got the carnival worker so sharp. Please do tell!

Edit: Actually, there were a lot of entries that got him pretty sharp. Any comments from any of you?

Sorry, that was laziness. The steps were many, but for sharpening I used Smart Sharpen once at full-size (fairly hard) and Sharpen faded back 30% (fairly soft) once at web size. About the same as I do for most DPC challenges. The thing that made mine look sharper was that I focused all of the sharpness and the brightness on the guy and let everything else go dark (vigenette). Choosing one COI worked better since HE was the main subject, the rest was just fluff - IMHO.
