Mac Firefox/Safari and DPC question...(problem)

Whom ever can help,

At work I use a Dual 1.8ghz Mac with 1.25 GB of ram.... and the operating system is 10.3.9

Now when using Firefox 2.0 and I have about 5 tabs opened, dpchallenge always hangs up anywhere from 2-5 minutes, when I hit refresh or I am browsing pictures, or just reading a posting. I cant figure out why... so I restart firefox and then its fine. But when its hangs up I check it on safari and it loads fast right away. For some reason firefox is so slow.

But now I am getting frustrated so if I want to use Safari v1.3.1 (which I love) I cant because on safari all insert buttons pop up when clicked but anything I type in those windows nothing will insert on my posting that I am typing. For example when I click the insert thumbnail button and I type or paste in the number I dont get the [thumb]number would be here of course[/thumb]

if anyone can help thanks, firefox just slows up and hangs on me here

Have you emptied the browsers' cache?
I'd also update my OS to 10.4.8, repair permissions and run a maintenance utility like Onyx every once in a while...

yep, I emptied the browsers' cache on both even the cookies. Played with different settings in firefox also......

Did v1.5 of Firefox work okay for you? v2.0 has just been released, so still might be a bit buggy.

You can get the previous version for the Mac from here;

lol..... no pc for me

its not firefox 2.0.... I just got firefox v1.5 and still the samething I was testing it and wanted to add the favorite foto forum here and bam hung again..... >:(

yes the latest version of safari works just fine in Mac OS 10.4.8, I use 10.4.8 at home but on 10.3.9 here at work its a no go when you want to insert pictures or links that if ya wanna use the buttons

No issues from other sites that use similar insert buttons. All others work just fine in safari
