I just submitted one for perspective. (I like it, so it will probably tank.)

btw, Nathan and Lorene, your HDR photos are spectacular.

Off the subject, but I have just had some of my photos accepted into the Five State Photography Competition & Exhibition. I'm very excited about that! The juror was Dan Burkholder from Carrollton TX.

I had the priviledge of meeting him after a presentation he made at the local university last week. His latest project is a book of HDR images made from inside homes and churches in New Orleans 10 months after Katrina. You can check out his work here. He brought many of the prints shown on the website - amazing color, detail, and lighting. He said that on average he used 10 exposures per image, with the longest one at 16 minutes.

Fantastic, Lynnmarie! I'll also have to check out the link you posted, sounds very interesting.

We're going to try to get some pics taken here that we've both been pondering all week. Last minute, but hopefully we'll both get something! Rae-Ann, no worries on not getting an entry in tonight. Last week I was totally bummed by my scores and had no motivation to get anything into the open challenges. I'm no longer letting scores/comments get to me like that though, so if my average falls or I keep getting low 5's, so be it!

It's too bad Willagher hasn't done any challenges. And it's too bad we can't replace her until next time. Oh well, I think we are doing just fine with the six of us!

Yes it is a shame we couldnt have let crayon sub for willagher, wonder if she'll ever be back??
Like you said, we is fine...I will get in light on white..I may reshoot my last light on white..
My spots is at 6.12 now and my Postcard is at 6.2!
I'll be glad to kick that 5.4 from BW off our scoreboard!

well.... not so good. Right now at 5 even. The competition doesn't seem so tough but I found this to be a hard challenge.

I still haven't shot anything for the open challenge. I'd like to do something.

I am in for LIW, but doing badly (4.5) - I don't get it: I like poor little one, which I thought would be 5.5+.

I got few shots for the open (diagonal) and I am currently screening them to see what to do, but honestly I feel somewhat off right now...
