5 now on my list, and as I did not enter this challenge it will be a postchallenge-postcard. A sort of triptych, of three climates, three parts of the World, from within a week!
Desert Heat - Middle East
East Asia - Rainy and Windy
Alaska - Cold and white (I presume?) not there yet :-)
Think it will be called Greetings from Jedshangchorage, guess three cities :-)
Still 9 cards left, first card reserved to Bardstown, KY :-)
Btw, I voted in the Postcard Challenge, and what aaaawwwsome shots there, good I did not enter, I would have been bombed in this competition!
EDIT: Bardstown, KY, Dusseldorf, Germany, Butte, MT, York, England and Wyoming, Rhode Island.
5 cards left. Is 10 cards a hard limit btw ???

I'm so in on this. I think I might already be sending/receiving 2. So, if anyone wants to trade postcards, I've got 8 left. |

OK - my 16 postcards are in the mailbox as we speak. I cant imagine that they would get to anyone before rollover Sunday with Thanksgiving and all - but if by some freak chance they do, dont change your vote. Unless you want to bump it up of course. ;D

eyewave, I'd be happy to trade - and I promise I'll print mine up in the English version (I self-DQ'd my sad attempt at doing it in German). Ware3927, I'll trade with you as well. If either of you still has a spot open, send me a PM with an address and I'll do the same.
I plan to order mine this weekend from WallyWorld, but I suspect I'll order from the US and have them mailed to me here. (I can't figure out the German page and don't have a German address yet anyway.) So it may be awhile, but you WILL get them! |

OK so I have 7 left!!!!
Anyone else want to trade postcards, PM me. I'll order them as soon as my order fills up.
It's kind of cool, nobody I'm sending to is from the U.S. This will be fun! |

Melethia and Giorgio, need your adress. The other 10 cards are ready to send - please excuse me for my really bad handwriting, I'm used to write on keyboards, or if by hand, much larger than I can on a postcard ;-)

Just came from the Post office, one to España, one to Deutschland, one to Ãsland (Iceland) and 7 to 7 different states in the US.
Really looking forward to receiving cards, it's like an extra christmas card and birthday card season. Wonderful December this year.

I just have "sent" most of the postcards using USPS , to see the results I have sent one to my husband... lol
It's quite strange ! But as I haven't found any spanish sites to create and to send postcards and my difficulties to move , this has been the easiest way.
Dear karmabreeze , as soon as I go to the city I'll find you a nice postcard ... |

Fantastic. I got my first card today. Can't go in and give you a 12 though as it is a take out you sent :)
Thank you, now I am looking even more forward to getting the rest.
This was and is a good idea - letters by snail mail are few and far between these days.

I have just finished my print, and it only took 30 mins to have it made (!) So, what will be preferred, sent as a real postcard, open face straight in the mail, or in an envelope, to preserve the picture?

I'm not sure i'm getting one from you. i dont remember but in general,I'm not looking to save these and make money off of them or anything some day. I'd prefer it have a personal message on it. but that's just my opinion.

I ordered mine today - they won't be here for another couple of WEEKS believe it or not. But I have no access to printers at the moment, and won't for a couple of weeks. So mine will be late - but hopefully y'all won't mind too much. I plan to hand address and send them as postcards. We ought to do something like this every once in awhile - it's agreat idea! |

Hey! It occurs to me.... we could use the wishlist function to let each other know we'd like a postcard of a shot -- if the photographer cares to make/send postcards they can contact the wishlist-er to get an address.

OK, I will send it as a real postcard, with all the dents and scrathes it implies. But I believe there are no stamps here in China, I have been told that you pay for the postage and it is stamped? Or did someone pull one on me!
Since I did not participate in the challenge, you can see my shot here:
I even ordered a 8x12" just to see what it is like, as it was only 3 USD. The normal cards that I send are standard 4x6. And this being my first postcard, I am satisfied with the result, although I made a mistake in the processing. I wanted a 3:2 aspect ratio, as a triptych, but made 3 times 3:2, and that does not add up correctly! Therefore I had to recrop to 4:2, and some was lost. I did not want to start all over, as it took so long time to make it - I am still quite green in PS!
Btw, I ordered 15 copies and have only 6 on my list, so anyone else interested, let me know. Was so busy that I did not look yet in this thread for others asking, but I will eventually, aiming to have all 15 cards sent.
I also second that this be done once in a while, how about in a few weeks, something themed Season Greetings maybe?

I know that several of us have hit our max and that there are several who still have cards left. If you have cards still left drop a post so everyone knows who has some still available without having to search through the whole thread.
I am so happy that so many people decided to come on board with this side project. I wasnt sure if it was just a silly idea or not - glad it was not.
