Alright this past weekend I took a motorcycle safety course. I learned how to ride and fell in love. Before that I never thought I would ever get on a bike in my life. So I am in the process in finding a bikeâ€Â¦there is something promising from a friend at church. He wants to use me for photographical purposes so I’m thinking there might be a trade in the mix. Anywaysâ€Â¦I thought it would be appropriate to start a motorcycle gang. So who wants to join? You have to own a bike orâ€Â¦like meâ€Â¦be on the urge of getting one. We also will need a gang name. First thing I need is to see your bikeâ€Â¦or as soon as you can. Lets Raise some Hell!!

I'm in...

That's my current steed, though she's getting a little long in the tooth these days with 130,000 miles on the clock. Still a great commuter, always ready & willing.

I've photographed some bikes - and my dad rides cross country with several clubs... that count? :)

bikes are a lot of fun :)
even after 2 painful accidents, I'm still going to ride!
If you ever have the chance, try one of those large 2-stroke engine monsters, it's exhilirating.

Awesome...looks like we have a nice little group growing...but not engouh to rival the Girl Scouts yet.

About the bike...he said it was a smaller Harley...guessing a standard.

I love bikes. I've been riding about 6 years. So far I've owned a VTR250 Honda, a Ducati 1000DS Supersport and my current bike, a BMW R1150R Rockster.

Unfortunately my baby is sitting in a garage back in Melbourne. I really miss riding quite a lot. Not quite enough to pay shipping costs twice though. It'll just have to wait until next October.

I'll upload a shot of the bike asap.

Edit: Here's me with the bike. Bloody awful photo but it's not like I can go and take another one without a 20 hour flight...

Check out this bike! I came out of a restaurant and it was parked right by the door. The detailing was wonderful. I have NO idea what kind it was, but it was a one-of-a-kind. Check out the bullets in the handles and the PILLOW for an extra seat. CRAZY huh? Sorry for the large size, but just wanted to show all the detail.
Love the colors in this too! Lots more graphics, but I couldn't get them all on the poster.

Yamaha XTX 660cc single. I have ridden FZS600's, the R6 and tested a zillion bikes including the Aprilia Mille 1000 twin. But a single cilinder crossover/supermotard (the XTX is to heavy to be a real SM) is the most fun. Especially when you like to ride as extreme as the bike will let you.
My riding style is European extreme, I'd loose my license in most cases, but I never endanger other people but me. :)

I always felt if I knew how to ride (never did learn), I would either be dead or in jail.......I just can't go slow.

I've been riding for 24 years and love it.
I'm also lucky in having a job I love; selling Harley's.

I currently have three bikes, but am hoping to see this one under the Christmas Tree ( I can dream). It's one we recently customized here at our shop and I fell in love again.

I 2nd twostrokes!
But the small ones are a lot of fun too. :)
Never had a chance to ride a 250, but I did ride a 125 Honda NSR for 1000km.
High revving unrestricted engine in a very light chassis. Insane corner speeds with that one. You can corner faster than anyone else with it. Make those kneesliding wannabees on R6's, R1's, Gixxers and CBR's look silly.
Unfortunately they break down very fast too. :(
The NSR had two seizures, one time because the springvalve that controls the radiator failed and the 2nd time because of a broken piston-ring. That was after the exhaust broke off because of high rev vibrations and the gaskets of the front suspension blew....
Sound was great with a race exhaust. :)
Also was given a short time on a Gilera 50cc twostroke racer (in race trim) from the seventies. Insane, what a lot of fun.

(Took that during a multi-state ride last spring - yep, WHILE i was riding down the road)

Just got my first bike this past January, as a reward for quitting smoking (you wouldn't believe how crazy that sounds to non-riders!). Its a Yamaha V-star 1100 & I wouldn't trade the rides with my wife for anything (have put over 12,000 miles on it since January).

Yeah right! Just 4 days ago, the friend who got me started riding to begin with shows up on another toy... a heaping mess of worn out crotch-rocket - spray painted black, of course! He said it was ugly but fun (i WON'T repeat what else he thought was 'ugly but fun' lol). Anyway, threw on the helmet & headed down the road, as I hadn't been on a street bike in over a decade.

Since it was an old back-country road with a speed limit of 35 mph, I took it slow... then i looked down to see '85' on the speedo!!! This is too damned fun! The darned thing was murder on the wrists though...

Just like photography, this is another hobby/sport/venture that I really enjoy sharing with my wife, and I can't wait to get her into riding her own bike someday.

Great subject!!

I ride too, been riding most my life. Started out on dirt bikes, progressed to sport bikes.....now I like my cruisers!

These were just a couple of snapshots I took the first few days I had the bike. In a couple of years this will be my wifes bike, and I'll go by my Harley Road King.

The bike looks nothing like this now, with all the accessories I've bought for it. Very expensive hobby!!!

OH HELL YEAH!!!!

The dragon kicks phuqin a$$!!!! The neighbor who got me into riding got what he deserved for hooking me on bikes - I made him bring his scared-ass self with me to ride the 'Tail of the Dragon'. Its something like 134 curves in 11 miles - most of them switchbacks / 180's.

I didn't know how lucky I was at the time but, on my first ride through there, we got stuck behind a couple on a geezer glide (goldwing). We still went at a good pace for being on cruisers, and I plan to go back again in the spring. This time, it will be just my wife & I...and the camera gear! It really is a beautiful ride, but you better have your life insurance paid up!

Check out KillBoyfor some great shots of 'Waking the Dragon'.

((Note - if anyone ever reads this & would like to GTG for a ride through scenic east TN, lemme know!)
