I had to order 2 albums for a client today, so I ordered cards from Shutterfly while I was already paying shipping. They have a 12 card minimum though... might wanna give 'em a looksee.


shutterfly?!?! oh no! that was the first place I checked this morning and I didnt see postcards anywhere. I can't believe i wasted hours and hours searching today and I didnt have to..ugh!! i'll go look again.

So I checked vistaprint.com as you mentioned a few pages back, but I don't see any postcards on the freebie offers..? Hmm.

Yup, sorry about that. I just looked too. Their freebie list changes constantly, the current specials suck! lol

Whoever is interested in my postcard feel free to PM me. I'll probably do the shutterfly thing so that means up to 12.

Btw, how are you guys mailing them? Used or unused (i.e. in a separate envelope)?

OK, was gonna be a secret... BUT.... I ordered Shutterfly's blank single-fold card, that way people could use them again if they wanted to, as a note to a friend or thank you card or whatever. Was $10 for 12 of them. Shipping was free since I was already ordering 2 photobooks.

Edit: I wasn't very impressed wit their photocards, not enough freedom of design to suit me.

Hmmm, ok. I've never used them before. So you can't just upload 1 graphic and have it print across the entire card? That way you can design it any way you want without relying on their tools. If that's not the case then I'll have to look for something else. Shoot.

Nope, that was the main reason I chose the single fold card. It prints full bleed or you can add text if you want.

I'm ordering from snapfish right now. i was able to have just one image. no borders or anything.

post-challenge post-cards?

I am not in this challenge, but the idea sounds great! If someone would be interested they could choose between a postcard from the heat of sunny Jeddah in Saudi, the wet fall of Shanghai, China or the White Winter of Anchorage - all taken within a week! Maybe I could even do a 3 in 1 postcard, one from each city!

So not being in the Challenge, PM me, including city of preference (or a 3 in 1), and I will send to the first 10 ....

Did not see the postcards here, but did anyone make a "Paris by night" totally black exposure?

I just printed mine like postcards where you write on the back. The ones I sent via the earlier link did it for me, the international ones, I printed on my computer and just wrote "To" and put their name and address and wrote to the left with the picture on the front. .70 international, .24 to the US.

yeah... ok... so i'm sitting here at my computer beating myself up because after the work i did making my postcard, i neglected to save a printable copy of it.

I just printed my list, how cool, I'm sending to:
Austrailia, Kentucky, Japan (I assume), England, Texas, Denmark, Tennessee, England again, Rhode Island, Ohio, Colorado, and Spain! Sweet! :)

I'll take one. I'll PM you. I won't be sending mine out until early December, since I'm flying out of state tomorrow and won't be here when the order arrives. The cat informs me that not only is she not willing to address, stamp and mail them, but that she refuses to check the mail at all. Really, what's the use of having pets if they can't be conscripted for cheap labor from time to time? *sigh*
