Hi!
I have posted some photographs on my flickr account [ //www.flickr.com/photos/gauravdhwajkhadka/ ] and
one of the visitors like my one of the photographs and he want it as print of 12" x 18" size , but the problem
is that the photograph he likes is taken by Canon PowerShot A610 camera. it is 5mp camera with 1944 x 2592
dimensions image file, and I have done print up to 11" x 14" with Canon PowerShot A610 camera image file without
doing any software help. But do not know that it can be able to make up to 12" x 18" print. So need help, how I
can able to make up to 12" x 18" with out losing any quality of photograph with small size of 2mb with 1944 x 2592
dimensions...
Please do help me out cause he is offering me a quite awesome amount for that photograph.
Thank you,
Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka

Simply just resize it in Photoshop. I had read, however, that because of the way the resize algorithms work, you don't want to increase the size of the image more than 10% at a time. So just "up"size the image 10% each time until you achieve the size you want - this will retain the image quality and get you a larger print.

To resize in Photoshop in 10% increments, go to the image menu and click on image size. In the image size dialog box go to the document size section. the defult there is inches for both width and height. . Click the down and choose percent instead of inches. The inches nubers for width an heigth are now "100". Change the number 100 to 110% and click "OK". Continue doing this until you have reached the size you want.

could someone please tell me why when I resize images in PS the program says the new file size is ~70mb, but when I read "properties" in my windows broser it only says file size 7 mb!!!

one more thing: I don't have "procent" option in either PS CS2 or PS 7! :( feeling myself a complete idiot:(
someone please help!
