Dear Greg,
In a forthcoming edition of The Canadian Lutheran, we have a story regarding the history of Granny Smith apples. I would be most grateful for permission to use your photo "granny smith" as found at dpchallenge.com to help illustrate the story.

The Canadian Lutheran is the magazine of Lutheran Church-Canada and is distributed free of charge to our 329 congregations across Canada. (www.lutheranchurch.ca/canluth) Please let me know if there is any charge for use of the photo. We will of course give credit to you as photographer and would be happy to send you copies of the edition in which it would appear.

I enjoyed reading the piece about the origin of the granny smith. . .i had never heard that before

That's a lot of trouble for a church to go through to get someone to accept a copy of their magazine. ;-)

it was exciting first to get asked, second to see it in print with such a nice story, I have not yet recieved the copy's of the magazine. I did give them permition without charge. It was more importaint to me to see it in print.
