I would love some comments on some pics from the last trip home. The dozen pics are in this gallery

** Honest comments would be great - I don't offend easy, so have at it :-) **

A couple of samples....

Thanks for any thoughts.

P.S. - This 10-22 is fast becoming my second fav lens (after the 85 prime that will have to be pried from my cold dead hands :-)

The thumbs look great - I'll go have a look at the pics in a sec, but I have to agree about the 10-22 - great fun, isn't it?

Robs, I've little to say. Pics are okay, nothing wrong with them. The only thing I'm missing is the 'waauuww'-feeling. Maybe the second from the right has the potential to become that. Not sure have far your PS skills reach.

I like the third one best. Makes me wsh I was back living there. Here's a shot from Bondi Beach.

Were they taken in the RAW format first? I like the Kookaburra pic, it's not always easy taking photos of them.

Yeah - I have shot RAW almost from day one - It always made more sense to me in my situation. When on holidays, I shoot RAW + small JPG so I can print 6x4 prints at the local photo places and it's interesting to see the differences in the end result.

I agree a couple of these are crying out for HDR but I am on an ancient version of PS (v6) - maybe I will have a go with that stand along software Bear and others are using.

Sam - I miss Manly more then Bondi - did a lot of roller blading along the beach side with a swim and some fresh fish & chips :yum: Some days ,mostly in winter, I wonder WTF I am doing in this corner of the world :-)

Thanks for the comments guys....
