I have so much respect and admiration for my dad. Just going through some photos and thought I'd share two I took last year. My dad is 87 and still travels, is involved in several organizations and is probably healthier than me. He's a WWII vet, and I probably should have posted these last week on Veterans Day.
I love you Dad!
 
I would love to get some comments on these informal portraits. |

He does look great for that age. Where did he serve in WWII?
On the photographs, although kinda straight forward, the 2nd one really captures his spirit it seems.

He was part of the Blue Ridge 80th Division. I know he was over in the Luxemburg / France / Germany area and not sure what other areas. He handled explosives for the most part.
He has a full wall map at home showing the locations he visited. He traveled back to Paris a few years ago (I think it was 1999, but I'm not sure) as a special guest of a veterans organization over there. |
