Well, according to the Chinese Horoscope calendar where every year is represented by an animal and based on a 12 year cycle, I was born in the year of the horse, my daughter was born in the year of the horse, and so was my Mother.

Gee...do you think a portrait of a horse would work? lol.

Hoping the voters don't take this challenge subject too literal....going for emotive and interpretitive angle. Looking forward to viewing the submissions!!

Hehe, I can identify with the "picture-suicide-and-I-like-it" feeling. :-D

Hai everyone!

I'm new! Not new to photography though. I registered here because I liked the challenge 'the year you were born' so much. I immediatley got an idea, now it's a matter of time finding the right model en shoot the photo. However...can anyone tell me when the deadline ends for this challenge?

Thnx in advance!

Me too: have gone for a "feeling" - and a feeling that is also very specific and subjective. I think the value of this challenge has been the creating and the working through and research etc. The scores in the end will be (for me) largely unimportant because this was more of a creative, experimental journey.I think I'm going to love looking at the submissions (not too many at this stage???) and will love engaging with the ideas...hopefully they're not going to be TOO literal and OBVIOUS...?
