Okay, can somebody please define for me what changes or effects can be added to images used in the challenges, because i have seen manu that i don't belive could have been done with the camera alone, and i was under the impression that that was the rule. Please let me know what the rules are concerning this

Anything that affects the WHOLE image (desaturation, change to black and white, blur, sharpen) but not "effects" like tiled, star patterns, etc. We're a creative bunch. Can you give us an example of a photo that voting is done on?

The image on the font page of the butterflys, while i don't think it impossibale to find these 3 differnt colored ones togther the color looks to perfect to be natural...the glasses also on the front page i had question about, there had been others as well that i wondered about not sure where they are now...I could be wrong, just wondering |

If you click the butterfly photo and read the comments posted there, you'll see that the photographer used fake butterflies - he bought them from a craft store.

A lot of really cool effects can be done with the proper setup. There are some really great "how'd they do thats" in the LEARN section of DPC. Check them out. You'll be surprised what you and your camera can actually do.

As far as the glass one - check Jacko's thread about how he did it - he shows the setup in pictures.
