Well, we won the first round against Femme Fatate 6.2556 vs 5.8221
Only four of us entered this week so on the plus side that means my higher score counted!! On the minus side that means we had no "backup entries" in case one of us really bombed - and given my high was a 5.185 I think that is very close to bombing.
This round we are against the DOF Llamas who averaged 6.3406 in the first round. This means it will be very close. It's too late to enter for round 2 so hopefully we have that covered.
Round 3 we are against Team 5D who averaged 7.2256 in round 1. That's going to be tough.
PS: My entry for round 2 is doing better than my round 1 score ;) |

Congrats Scarbrd!
Good point about lack of backups. I'm not bombing in round 2, but hopefully others will have something good also.

This may well be my one & only decent contribution to this team, hehe.

That is AWESOME!!!!!
Mine's pulling a 5.7, I thought it would do better.
I think I have a strong one in Headwear, pushing 6 early on.

It looks like we're off to a good start. My B&W is at 6.18, after doing the slow rise all day yesterday. Hopefully it'll be enough to help.

I've updated your WPL Trading Card so it now contains your ribbon. Not that many people see it (60 views so far).
PS: I'm above my average in B&W and on for a PB in HDR - my mojo may be back ;)

How is the team doing this week? My 2 entries are 5.8 and 5.9. Nothing to write home about.

6.29 & 5.88.
I have something for Postcard, but I may be taking a chance on something that's not DPC friendly. My wife didn't get what I was trying to do when I showed it to her, so that's not a good sign. It's still a work in process so it will be better.
How is everybody set for next week? Depending on what you think you have, I may go with what I have or do something safer that will score OK. At this point I think it's either a 4.6 or 6.6...

Go with what you think is best. I don't like playing it safe! ;-)

5.69 in B&W
The weather closed in here so it's not postcard friendly - grrrr.

How about "Auckland, bring your brolly" on a postcard? |

Works for me. To be honest I'd come to NZ no matter what the weather. Its one of the places I really really want to get to.

Well, I have a possibility for Postcard submitted. It might get some of the more high-strung people bent out of shape as it is now, but it made me laugh. Maybe it's too hot for DPC.
Probably score about a 3.4. My gut is to leave it in, have my entertainment, and let the babies cry. Ah well. Satan's path is a lonely one. ;-)

The weather here is worse now so I doubt I'll get an entry into Postcard (not one I'd be happy with anyway). I may not get an entry into the opens either this week so can we make sure we have at least 4 entries? |

I'm going out for postcard today and have a good idea for The Year You Were Born I am going to try this weekend.
BTW - Postcards do not have to be taken outside. I have an indoor setup idea I am going to try as well.
For a studio shot, you don't even need to shot something particular to your area. I saw a great postcard once of a plastic Eiffel Tower. I'll bet it wasn't taken in Paris!
Just some food for thought.

I thought of that. I may look at an inside shot for one of the opens. I have (what I think is) a good idea for Postcard so if tomorrow isn't raining I should be able to do it.
I just want to make sure we have enough entries this week in case my shots don't turn out ok. |

I'll be in at least one challenge. Who else is in?
As far as your postcard shot, I'd enter it anyway just in case one of ours tanks. Or maybe we have internet problems. You just never know what may happen.
I'm leaning more toward what I already have done unless I get something spectacular tomorrow. As a followup to what I mentioned earlier in the thread, I asked my wife again about the postcard pic I took. It took a minute for me to realize that she thought I took a picture of a postcard instead of taking a picture and making it into a postcard. So there's hope yet.
