Cool.

I like surf music like Dick Dale, Southern Culture on the Skids, Treble Spankers. But is really hard to find good similar artists, because when you search with "surf" it turns up a lot of crap (Beach Boys is not surf!). But when they use the music itself to find similar sounds it works. Great.

I love Pandora, definitely dangerous with regards to the size of my "CD's wanted" list though.

The only bug I have found so far is that Andrea Bocelli on a list will cause an inexplicable transformation (usually over about 2 hours or so) in to a full-on mexican folk station. An interesting occurrence which I had corroborated by one of the Pandora team members.

How about suggesting some favourites so we can expand our musical horizons.

I suggested Celtic to someone and they suggested an Irish Punk band which turned out to have some similar sounds to a Canadian band.

Flogging Molly ---> Spirit of the West

The first song on Flogging Molly was good. I didn't go further as I wanted to search for Spirit of the West. So far so good. No duds yet.

Great, Just great - Another way to find new music to buy. It's like I need more on the list to go with the 65Gb of music I already have on my hard drives :-/ Thanks - I think - for the link :-)

Just a note to Pandora users looking to get into the Christmas spirit...you can create a station of holiday music by putting (holiday) after the artist you search for. For example, "Bing Crosby (holiday)"

There's also a bunch of neat, already-made stations listed here.

AND...folks who are using Firefox, you don't have to listen to Pandora anywhere else to submit to Last.fm. You can just install this and it will submit your track listings for you.
