Hi Folks

The 24th is nearly upon us and I have the following people as confirmed or possibles:

Kavey (Me, Kavita)
Ganders (Pete)
Floyd (John)
Mbardeen (Matt)
Jaam (Jamie)
Bod (Paul)
Galina
e301 (Ed)
Manic (Matt)

If I've missed anyone, or if anyone else is free and wants to join us, please let me know.

Current plans are London Eye, lunch, photoshoot, drinks and possibly dinner.

As I haven't really had confirmation from everyone I think the best plan is for us to actually meet by the London Eye and see what tickets/ times are available and plan around that.

Depending on our numbers I can reserve somewhere for meals - given that we're talking London on a bank holiday weekend it may be crowded!

Please can you confirm here or via email to let me know if you're still coming.

Floor space is available at my house for a few people, if required.

Hi Kavey,

I will be attending, so if you could please advise on a time that we are planning to meet would appreciate it.

Thanks

Unfortunately I'm working that day - great shame. Looking forward to some top shots though.

Ed I'm so sorry to hear you can't come...

I've had an email from Bod letting me know he can't come either - family member's birthday - and a big one - grandfather's 80th!!

I suggest meeting at midday at the London Eye - if it's raining let's meet in the cafe area inside the ticket office building - if it's sunny let's meet just outside there. How does that sound?

I'm thinking that we can then go buy tickets for the eye for whatever time available (if any) and plan the rest of the day around that time slot.

After buying tickets we can go off for lunch (if I can get firm numbers I could book somewhere) and then figure out what to do and where to go from there.

Anyone need floorspace? Floyd is staying with Pete and I already.

Sounds good..

What is the easiest way to get to the Eye from the tube?

Waterloo tube station, come up out of the underground station following signs and escalators to mainline trains (not to Eurostar, then you just have to take an extra escalator to get where you need to be).

At the top of the escalator turn LEFT and you should see that the exit at far left, past the Eurostar area, is signposted for the Eye. Can't remember whether the sign says London Eye or Millenium Wheel.

It's only a couple of minutes walk from there.

If you stand at the foot of the Eye, facing it and the River Thames, the ticket office is in the building behind you to your left.

Guys,
I've just been reading the "Photography Monthly" magazine and there is a big article on Patrick Lichfield and a review of his exhibition in London.

Just an alternative suggestion - I've already been on London Eye and it's £11. The exhibition that gives a unique opportunity to see Lichfiled's work in close-up is in the National Portrait Gallery from May 3 and entrance is free.

Cheers

I know, Kollin, such a shame.
But I already replied to your PM, email me if you didn't get it.
I do prefer email to PM.

Hi Gang!
Everyone ready for tomorrow?
Galina, that exhibition sounds great - shall we meet as planned above and see what the weather is like and what everyone wants to do and plan it from there?
I have been on the Eye 3 times already so I might wait below, while some of the group go on it.
From there we're probably best off taking the tube to Leicester Sq or Covent Garden for lunch - I'd suggest either China Town or perhaps Browns on St Martins Lane - whatever everyone fancies.

I'm going to PM those of you who have confirmed with my mobile number - give me a ring if you're not coming or are late or whatever!

See you tomorrow!
