I bought a Nikon D70s and stopped using it because of poor focus. I sent it in to Nikon but haven't even tried it since getting it back. When I get a chance, I will try it out to see if the problem has been resolved.
Did you send the camera and lens to Nikon? |

| The picture looks sharp enough to me. I'm not sure, are you using aperture 4.8 or 9.5? |

f/stop and/or aperture are one in the same, so was it 4.8 or 9.5? That's really not relevant however. Your raw image looks about the same as what I could expect from my D70s or D100. You will see a bit of "softness" with all digital cameras straight out of the box with no in camera sharpening.
With that said, your processed image is oversharpened. |

What did you want to be in focus? ALL of it? Probably want a much smaller aperture. 13+
and confused on the F/sop and aperture, should be the same. If 4.8 I can see where you would think nothing is in focus (again depending on what you are after). 9.8, hmmmm.

the numbers I got were off the info on the image... actually didn't think about it when I posted. they should be the same..... I think what I am trying to fix is an ID10T error.... will revisit this post tomorrow when I have my brain (kid free) attached.
Going to play with it more tomorrow and pay closer attention to the details (easier to do with the kids in school)
