Does anyone know if Diffuse Glow (Microsoft Digital Image Suite) can be used in Advanced Editing? I'd like to know because I've used it on a photo that I want to submit for a challenge, but don't know if it's legal. Anyone out there know?I've read the rules but it doesn't specifically state anything about diffuse glow. |

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be, but use it sparingly as voters might hammer you for it.

As far as legality goes, you'll be fine with it as long as you haven't taken it to some hypothetical ridiculous level that obscures your image in some way. Its equivalent has been used quite a bit in other challenges, including by me.

How about using diffuse glow in basic editing? Will it be okay still? |

No...ase it is classed as a filter and filters are not allowed in Basic. |
