say i want to get a print bigger than my camera will shoot at(3504 x 2336) do i have to stretch the image myself to the size i want it to get printed at. or will the place where i send the photo enlarge the file themselves? |

been my exp that you should do it yourself. even if they offer! because there not going to care about the image as much as you, just the print quality.
for instance they could completely mess up your cropping or somehow take meaning away from the final print..
Just my cent.. too poor to spare more than the one :) |

Also, check with the printer to see if they have any special prep instructions. Some do, some don't. |

Printers know there business and can really give you some helpful hints.
Hopefully you can contact them if they're local.
Best DPI
Up Sizing and the like. |

Justine is right, and brings up a very good point.. if you can get someone at the printer to talk with they can give you the best options and software they prefer!

ill be doing my printing at a place called Prism which is veery high end printing place, i worked at the professional photographers of BC annual salon organizing prints and almost all of them were printed from there and the print job was absoulutly amazing, but its pretty pricy...its worth it though |
