Hi all. Got this banding in the shadow area, see attached original and hi-contrast version to make the flaw obvious. Interesting defect, probably caused by stray sun getting too close to the edge of the lens? Whatever the reason, though, can you suggest a precise way of fixing this apart from cloning the affected area to death? Thank you.

Looks like lens flare to me. Not really noticeable in the top shot unless your looking for it. If you plan on making a large prntout, you may want to take the shot over, just turn your body right about 45 degrees

I believe the banding is the result of sun rays in the less visible mist in front of the hills. Doesn't really look like lens flare, but more like rainbows.
