If there has been a forum thread started on this I apologize in advance.
In the past (like yesterday) the updates for challenge entry scores/votes/views were being done at 10 minutes past the hour (used to be on the hour a long time ago). Now today, the updates crept to 19 mintes past the hour, and just now they've advanced to 21 minutes past the hour.
What's going on?! Generally I just let the automatic updates roll and take a peek at scores then rather than hitting the update button all the time.

I thought everyone paid their membership only for the update button..

It's the ocd, ritual thing. :D Actually, I don't want to jinx my score by looking at it too often, superstition and all.
Nah. Scratch all that. I avoid the update button to keep from getting ulcers! He-he.

I noticed this too. Must be the abnormaly high number of challenges running at once. (Actually, I like having four scores to update at once!)

| I'm noticing that DPC becomes inaccessible for ~10 mins everytime the auto-update is due. |

the page wasn't loading for some time.. now runs ok |

Don't know about trolls, but there are definitely gremlins in my update button. If I hit it, my score goes down. If I just let it roll-over by itself my score will usually stay the same and sometimes it will even go up. (But never enough!) 8)
