Hi all,

I will travel to Europe (Geneva and Paris) very soon (07Nov-20Nov), and i want to ask few questions.

1- What equipments of photography i should take with me? (camera and lenses). flash is only 580EX what i have and must to take, and filters and memory cards are important with portable storage device as i don't have laptop.

2- I am worry about shooting photos because i am new or say i am a hobby, but, how can i get better photos and nice amazing shots as pro of landscapes, natures, cityscapes, portraits, nightshots or nightlife and so over there? I will be there for 2 weeks but i don't think i have much time to go around and stop for long time to take photos all good, i am sure i will have some bad shots but i can delete them and get another but i don't want to waste time to shoot and delete alot, and i am alone stranger there so i don't like to be in difficult situations if to take long time to shoot few subjects, so any tips or guide to shoot in shorter time and still get great results? Oh i forgot that it may be rainning and so cold weather there so i can't stay for long time under that conditions to take few shots and they are not enough good, and i think i will go to snow mountain in alps swiss and my camera can't handle last for long time in that freezing weather so i have to be fast enough to take shots and again to be sure they are good nice amazing enough.

3- anyone from these countries here? so he/she can give me some good places there to shoot (Paris and parts of Switzerland), and if he/she knows any photographic institutes or schools so i can go and ask them for few helps if possible?

hope i can find answers here.

Don't over think it! Just go with what you'd use for a shoot near home..Plus a laptop or storage device.
If your short on room for lenses take a variety.

I will do that in all cases, i willl not wait someone to tell me to take photos because i am going to take photos beside tourism.
just i want to be sure what to do to have better shots than taking normal shots and then no good critiques on them.

That's the correct way to think about it. Especially when you go to Paris. The Eiffel Tower has been photographed gazillions of times, so try to produce a unique photo of it. e.g. frame it with something unusual or produce tighter shots of a portion of it.

good idea, i hope i can find something unique than all those gazillions of shots have been taken for that Tower, but not only the Tower i will shoot in Paris. and in Switzerland there are alot of things to shoot i think.
still i am worry and sad about shooting, because if i can't have good shots, or lets say if i found later that my photos are not good enough according to people critiques or experts judgements then i will never show my photos again anywhere in the future because no need to show people my bad or normal shot if they are not interested in my photos or it will be so normal to be posted.
If i think to shoot for myself then i will never aks, but i am sure there are alot who asked me to show them when i come back so i have to be sure i will get great amazing shots even i can enter challenges with it and get good rated.
and what will be the different between my shots and pro shots if they have same or less equipments of mine? and what they do to end up with those stunning photos? are they so smart that they know what to do or it is just as most do by taken thousands of shots and then choosing the best ones.
