I use to pick my nose and eat it! OK OK I hear you all going ewwwwwwww but come on, admit it, you've at least done it once in your life. Now I stopped when I was about 5 but I didn't stop sucking my thumb until I was about 8. Kissed my for boy at 10, didn't have sex until I was 18, got drunk at a graduation party and kept it from my Mom, didn't tell my Mom about smoking pot until just a week ago but I didn't smoke my first joint until I was 28 (I'm 38 now)and only had one more after that (just makes me hungry and giggle...ALOT!!), love to eat raw cookie dough, use to sneak spoonfuls of A1 steak sauce (don't do that anymore, gives me heart burn)...oh I'm sure there is more but this is fun!!!

I was supposed to stop doing these things???? Must have missed the memo on these..... I have an excuse for the picking the nose thing, I have broken my nose 3 times and it hasent been fixed and one side is 90% blocked. But I still enjoy sucking my thumb in private, it makes me feel really relaxed. So point and laugh all ya want but I dont care.
My biggest secrect I have only shared with my wife was up in college I was in a small car accident with a friend and have had a minor injury that will remain from it for the rest of my life. I wont tell my parents about it cause everyone else thinks I am fine and thats the way I want to keep it.

I secretly really enjoy The Olive Garden (gotta love the salad and breadsticks, though it was better back when it first opened).
I love Miracle Whip on hamburger or hot dog buns...just Miracle Whip...lots of it. Has to be on a bun though, never regular bread.

Speaking of which..I used to get the salad and breadsticks all by them selves. I've been there a few times in the last couple years and they dont have that option anymore. unless you get soup too and then it's more expensive and well..soup?? yuck..I dont want to drink/eat seasoned water. lol have you found that to be the case too? or am I just missing something? |

We used to take ice cream in the grocery store and hide it behind the toilet paper. I suppose it would melt and make a mess, but we never stuck around for that...
I think I did this once or twice as an adult, for some unknown reason!

I tend to as well. however whenever I have made this observation in a setting of more than say ten people theres inevitabely one or two people to get QUITE defensive at the idea of it. So that gives me pause for thought. I figure (and this may be a weird analogy, but it works for me)there are many shades of grey, some so dark they look black when not held up next to true black and some so light in the right light you think it's white. people are no different.
on the other hand no one has jumped in this thread so far to say "oh no! not I!!" and thats telling. refreshing even.

What a great read, if I PM'd everyone who wrote something that 'struck me' I'd be here all day.
I'm completely impressed by people who are able to share.

Originally posted by Bugzeye: Not really a dirty little secret but I have been a bit sneaky the past few weeks and will be for a few more. My wife is from New Zealand her family is all over there and she hasn't seen her brothers for nearly 3 years. Anyway her mom dad and both of her brothers are flying in this year for the holidays. My wife has no idea that they are coming. In fact she has been checking prices on airfare for the past couple of months like she is thinking about booking a trip to go see them.
This is where it gets sneaky. I booked hotel rooms at the Wisconsin Dells for her family and us. I will go pick them up in Chicago at 9:45 AM and drive them to the Dells and get them into their rooms. Then Drive back home. I already made arrangements with one of my aunts to pretend to watch the kids that weekend, Soon as School lets out we will drop the kids off at my aunts house and I will then tell my wife I have a weekend retreat planned for just the two of us. (My aunt will bring the kids to the hotel a bit later that evening) meanwhile we will go to the hotel get checked in etc. I will say I left something in the car and go check on her family.
At some stage we are going to have her mom and dad appear out of nowhere. Not sure how this is going to happen but I was thinking perhaps we will go down to one of the resturants at the resort. Then I can say, Hey that couple over there remind me of your parents.
Part two of this plan is to have her brothers sitting in our hotel room when we get back from Dinner. I have never tried to surpise my wife like this before and can not believe how complicated it can be. However it is going super smooth and barring any delayed flights or traffic jams I can pull this off. I am guessing I will be driving for about 7-8 hours straight that day. So traffic jams are my biggest worry. |
I love doing things like that. I once organised (with only 24 hours notice) for hubby to be surprised by a friend he hadn't seen in years...I even got him time off work over the phone...and I never even knew who his boss was to start with....and it worked.
Another time I organised for him to be driven 300kms to pick up his brand new bike, without him knowing..LOL!!....The Triumph...it had just arrived in Australia. There are many others...but I get such a kick out of organising surprises for people.

I used to reset my sister's alarm clock after she went to sleep. When the alarm went off, she would get up, shower, do hair and make up, get dressed for school, etc... about 3 hours too early! LOL
That still makes me laugh now, and it was almost 30 years ago!
