In light of the current challenge... can someone please shed a little light on what falls into the category of a landscape photograph? Is a seascape still considered a landscape? Must the photograph consist of strictly nature? Can there be people in the distance of a landscape photograph?

PS: I did a search, but couldn't really find a thread that answered these questions. If there is one, I apologize, and if you could post the link that'd be fabulous!

It would be funny if the definition of "Landscape photograph" is "a picture where the width is greater than the height". :-)
You can also look under "Photos -> Galleries" here to see examples, and there are plenty there not taken in landscape orientation.
