Thats ok, because I needed to mark maine.

Frappr! is more accurate as it allows the visitors to enter their location as exactly as they want (as well as picture and shoutout if desired).

It locates better from connection data as well. It located me in Springfield (about 80 miles away) from connection data -- which is a lot closer than a few hundred miles off the coast of Africa.

It is a part of another forum I visit and works well. Would be nice to have it as a part of this site as well.

Got an example map? They have a static map on the main page, but it'd be nice to see a live example.

Sure, the forum I mentioned is on 2CPU -- this is the 2CPU member map.

Very interesting. Even uses AJAX to provide a click and drag map interface.

It shows me as somewhere near New York or even further south and I am in Newfoundland, Canada. So sorry, but it doesn't work.

Well it is based on your internet connection which must go through New York. Oh well.
