I am stuffed. It is lunch time Sunday and I have just spent the day with my three children, cooking for the school fete. I make everything from scratchy and have just finished packing everything in pretty containers. When we finished we did a count and this is what we had done.
- 20 cups of Marshmallow (4 different colours)
- 20 cups of Rocky Road
- 109 Toffees (4 different colours)
- 2 Large bowls of Peanut Brittle.
I also did three lots of photos yesterday as well as took the kids out. Oh...and the usual housework stuff.....plus there is a pot of ravioli on the stove for lunch.
Can I have a break now?

It's only Saturday night here (AZ doesn't do daylight savings) 7:32p.m.
We took ride and then a hike looking for the right landscaping shot. Right now I'm taking a break but for the past hour I've been going through 124 pictures and trying to find one or two that I might enter.
Ravioli sounds good. YUM! I made chicken/veggie soup this morning, cleaned up and did a load of wash. |

Justine - it sounds like you had a successful shoot.
Rossbilly - why didn't ya ring me and remind me. And as for the photos of the gooey mess....my fingers were too sticky to touch the camera...hahahaha!!
Alfresco - you are more than welcome to join us.

Well, you most certainly can Judi :)
Today was nice and warm, but the 3 days before that were drizzly and cold. Oh, and yesterday we had a north wind howling! Not too many photo opps, but my grad student son came home on Thursday and I have to play Betty Crocker LOL
Tomorrow I am going out with a friend to get some shots! My bag is already packed :)]

Ooooh.... a break from the kids....that sounds like heaven. Hubby is away in another state for a week...so I am single mum while he is away. But he returns this week and then I am off with a couple of friends to the coast (300kms away) for the weekend with our cameras.......yeeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaa!!

I dressed up like a tranny. In the front, I have a heart shaped cutout with white boarder around my right nipple which is pierced. I also have a lot of eye makeup on.

OMG its late on Saturday and I'm just sitting back and reflecting. I had an awesome day. Since my girls are out of town for 48 hours starting at 4am today, I headed out early this morning with camera & kit in tow and just let the lens lead me. I think I caught a shot of a lifetime today. It was an amazing moment that cannot be recreated or recaptured and I was right place right time. I desperately want to share, but its sooooooooooooo my october freestudy! I got tons of other shots today that were great, and will share some as they're edited, but right now I'm just cruising on the uber-high feeling of having captured something really special.

Had a great day of participating in the Susan G. Komen - Race For The Cure events (Breast Cancer research).
Then went and saw the movie The Departed this afternoon.
Worn out, ready for bed and will crash soon.

Thanks Judi, I appreciate that. :) Trying to do my little part. My mother is a breast cancer survivor so it's an issue that hits home.

Oh, beaches sound so wonderful (being a transplanted Easterner). It's sunny today with deep blue skies and will be in the 70s, so I am off to a local college for architecture shots and then to a park along the Arkansas River to see if there are any leaves left after that windy day :) At the very least, I can get the whole image of the New Stonehenge with my 15mm!!

I've fired up the sauna and topped off the hot tub and now am getting ready to cover the boat for the season, then drag the stinking pine tree I had cut down from the yard. Then again I might leave the pile o' tree where it's at, it would make an interesting topic for discussion.
Boat covering may be to no avail since there are gale force winds, it might be too much of a chore to cover today.
That's it - you've talked me out of everything except sauna and hot tub!!!
Party at JP's!!! |

Well ... let's see:
Saturday:
Interviewed a potential new receptionist
Bought paint ... lots of it ... so guess how Sunday is going to turn out
Picked up a whole pile of posters for the office walls
Tried to do some paperwork
Sunday:
Slept a little late
Painted
Painted
Painted
Got home just in time to watch the football
Started reading a bunch more CVs
About to fall into bed
So ... all in all a very exciting weekend ... :-( And not a single picture taken. Might have had a couple if the remote on the flashes had worked.

Yesterday I went to my sons' last marching band competition in St. Louis. Walked in a nearby park afterwards and took lots of photos.
Today is for relaxing and processing yesterday's shots. |

ahhh lesson learned for the day. Never do a shoot involving one of your favourite drinks early on in the day/afternoon. I ended up finishing off all 8 cans i had got for shooting, so unless the one iv put in my profile is any good im a little screwed, also left me very sleepy but i will battle on and get on with my second idea for a photo, at least this one doesn't involve any alcomahol. :P |

At 4:30 today I'm playing an a still breathing concert (living composers). I'm in a Milton Babbit piece for 12 instruments. It's completely serialized and is quite a pain in the butt to count, and play. |
