Since SC has asked me to put into one single thread the Photographers and Photo Galleries that I contribute to the general membership to view, why not just nip it in the bud and add another segment to the threads for this kind of information.

Other photographers, artists, and galleries of such can be benificial to all members, and artists for inspiration, if not just for their art.

I am sure there are other memebers that have sites, photographer portfolios, blogs, galleries that they too would share more often if there were some sort of clearing house for it.

After all, inspiration should be sought out from all avenues, and not just within our own community.

How about a photographer inspiration link page or something. Could get fancy and add the name & a small image of the front page or something. Would be a pain to keep the link root from setting in but maybe worth it.

I would find it beneficial to have all your links in one place because I may look at one, want to go back later, but can't remember the name so I have to click on all the threads. While that can be educationally beneficial, it is not exactly time efficient. :)

Don't know if that is what you were asking abotu (not sure what you are asking for), but it is my take on your links.

I guess the favorites button never came to mind.

Any how, just like this "Web Site Suggestions" segment, have a "Photographers and Photo Gallery" segment as well.

Members can share their finds from the internet. People such as yourself can find certain photographer portfolios when the itch needs scratching.

Hell, the idea can go one further.

Divide the portfolios of photographers and galleries into their own styles and formats, IE, Fashion, Conceptual, Sports, Landscape, Animals, Portrait, Macro, ECT., ECT., ECT..

or two and have a rating system DPC members select, so you can see the sites that a lot of people like in the various topics :-)

Sure, why not.

Time, money, and manpower is all Langdon needs.

So my responce to the SC, or to the single individual that represents the SC is this.

The reason I enter separate threads per photographer, or per gallery is simply to keep any comments within the peramaters of that photographer, or gallery.

If I was to clump all the sites together onto one single thread, then, to me, the discussions of certain photographers and their portfolios would not be focused properly, hence, a melting pot affect.

Portfolios should be examined individually, and discussed hence forth per how the photographer would like the viewer to view.

In other words, one porotfolio at a time, one photographer at a time. Don't put all the eggs in one basket.

I've enjoyed the links you've been posting, but I must say (and no offense) I'm glad they will be consolidated now.

Thank you for sharing with us!

mho

I love looking through these sites but don't really want to bookmark them* - I wouldn't mind an easier way to track them, be it a single thread or a forum section.

*Too many bookmarks spoils jp's bookmark soup.

Thanks for posting these Horseman, much appreciated from my viewpoint.
