I have just ordered my D200. I wanted to get a couple larger CF cards. Right now I have two SanDisk 1gb Ultra II's. Anyone have any opinnions on CF cards with the D200's?
I did a search on this topic...found some info, but was curious if there was any new recommendations.

Shannon must own stock in Newegg and Transcend ;) But, when he's right.....he's right.

I checked out the site. I think I am going to go with the RIDATA 2gb 150x Pro. Might also go with the 4gb version. Not sure, but the price is really reasonable.

are you planning on shooting Raw or Jpeg? I am using the SanDisk Ultra II's and a promaster. so far both have worked to perfection no failures or loss of data. I think a better question to ask is which cards to avoid. I am sure there are a few that should be left on the shelf. Congrats on getting a great super awesome camera you will love it, Did you get a grip for it? If not think about it it really is a nice feature. Enjoy your new toy.

I didn't get the grip yet. I plan on ordering one next week. I shoot JPEG + Raw, now with my D70. Probably plan on doing the same with the D200.

Why do you shoot jpeg+raw? what's the advantage? If you use raw shooter premium you can have fast jpeg for proofing. No need to ocupy your card with the jpeg when shooting.
