I got PS6 in the mail the other day (cheap off EBay). After installing it I got an error while it was loading (don't ask me, I don't remember EXACTLY what it said). After doing a GOOGLE on that error, I found another forum that gave some 'remedies'. I tried a few and found the error was being caused by 'true type' fonts I have installed. I moved them to another folder and the problem went away. But, I have 4,257 fonts and want to keep them in the correct folder for other applications. I temporarily uninstalled PS because I'm getting a new laptop (not ordered) and will want both my fonts and PS6 (eventually upgrade).
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

Did you try the Photoshop forums? There is a lot of information there on the older versions.
I'm going to take a stab and guess your too fat in fonts. Maybe have two folders and move one.
edit to say the Adobe forums.

Thanks Justine, that's where I found the 'remedy'. Maybe I'll go back and do some more digging. As for starting a 2nd folder, I use some of those 'special' fonts on my desktop and wouldn't know how to 'link' that folder to where I need them.
