yes. i am officially one of "those" people because i got some ABs today and all of my two-legged models are gone.

what's even worse...it's not even my dog. mine wouldn't come near the big scary umbrella.

anyway:

here's the straight outta the camera shot:

i had to clone out the extra catchlight because i was using my onboard flash to trip the strobe. whoops.

i don't know what the hell i'm doing, but it's fun.

That could be my motto! Have fun with the new toys. I found the AB's addictive.

I'm pretty sure that could be everyone's motto at some point or another. My problem, is that it applies to my entire life, not just photography :)

heh, I find that if I'm forced to use the flash to trigger, I'll use the sb800 and just set it on manual 1/128th and point it at the cieling.

If I'm being good I'll use the PCsycnh port on the flash and turn the flash off. I soooo want a d200 for that. Or some wireless trigger. Oooh, christmas list update time. :)

btw.. if you want to get rid of flash synch, the synch cord is only a few bucks and really helps you control light better - I was always trying to block much of my camera flash so that the ABs do their jobs properly.
