My daughter has a photo project for her high school photography club. The projects are similar to DPC where there is a theme and they all submit photos.
The current theme is "Self Reflection". I'm not exactly sure what that means (there is no description, other than the subject itself). The first thing that comes to mind is some sort of self-portrait, but she wants her photo to be different and stand out.
What does "Self Reflection" mean to you, photographically speaking? What type of subject and composition would you suggest?
TIA!

This SP was done with the idea of Self Reflection. Not only is it a Self Portrait but it shows a part of the inner you.

Since she doesn't want to do a self-portrait maybe use props that give the message of self reflection, something that shows how she feels about herself.
Also, a self portrait doesn't necessarily need to be recognizable. And just because the topic includes the word reflection doesn't mean the image has to, though without a reflection the message may not be as clear.

Judi--thanks. I need to find out what the editing rules are (if any)
Colette-I didn't mean to imply she didn't want to be in a portrait, I think she just wants her photo to be different (from all the other potential self-portraits), whether she is in it or not. Thanks!
