i did a shoot this evening, and came home to download them. but - there are 19 files missing, right in the middle of the shoot. i need these files! does anyone know where i might start to look for them? i really don't want to reshoot this - it's of this family's halloween decorations (it's a long story) and they went to a lot of trouble to get it up and looking great, despite vandal problems.

so, any computer wizards out there?

After you extracted did you format your card? If not there are utilities to get the photos off.

Did you take out or swap cards while the camera was writing to the memory card? That could cause big problems!

No worries. I've gotten this problem a couple times. After you get the files from it off, I've done a windows format, followed by a new in camera format of the card. This has caused the problem to not happen in that same card again.

The only time I noticed this occuring with the card, was when I got an Error99 with my old rebel. The pictures taken right around the same time were corrupt through everything BUT the camera. I recovered through the camera, did the above steps, and haven't had the problem again. Glad I can be of help.
