If I still have a job next week I need to find a faster way of getting to work (it can take 3 hours to and from work each day using public transport).

I had thought about a moped but thats about as dangerous as cycling so have decided to start driving again after a 6 year break. I don't have the cash to buy anything decent outright but if I stop spending cash on camera gear can muster up to about 300 uk pounds a month all in.

Are there any uk bods that have done personal leasing? can anybody point me in the right direction. I'm after something small, economical but not dull (a smart roadster sounds fun).

I'll have a reasonable deposit if required (looks like 80+ hours overtime this month) and am looking for a decent deal where I'm not ripped off.

So, nobody has any help nor advice regards the pros and cons of Cash, HP or leasing a vehicle? (If only canon made cars it would be easier

You'd just buy the most expensive big white one with the red line round it :-P ;o)

LOL T, actually, I went second hand! 12 month old car, so its already taken the big depreciation hit. Went for PCP - still to work out the finer details on the deposit and balloon payment but the 36 monthly payments are fine.

If I get home safely at the weekend I may just post a pic or two of my new found funmobile :)

How about a Smart Car?

It would certainly not be dull, moving at speed in something so small.

That's quite a bit sportier looking than the Smartcars I saw last year all over Germany.

Looks like a nice ride. Enjoy.

You should get this. It comes with it's own retractable plug and street camouflage. How can you go wrong?
